No digital nomad visas. No online guides. Remote work was unheard of. Instagram hadn’t even launched yet. The first iPad was about to come out. I was a paramedic and had a career ending back injury and was devastated that I’d never work as a medic again.I thought to myself, what can I do now that I couldn’t do before? “Live abroad” came back loud and clear. Being based out of fire stations I was able to travel but never relocate. So that’s what I did.Moving abroad was a vessel for me to redesign my life.
