It turns out each microphone has a small blue protective sticker covering the charging contacts.</p><p>Before using them for the first time, remove that sticker from the brass charging area on the back of each microphone. Once it's removed, place the microphone back into the charging case and it will charge normally. The receiver automatically searches for both microphones. If you're using only one microphone, it may briefly continue searching for the second transmitter before settling into normal operation.</p><p>Once the indicator light turns green, you're ready to record If it turns solid blue you’re also ready to record but you do not have the “background suppression on”. you simply click the yellow button on the end of the piece that plugs into your phone and then both lights will turn green letting you know it’s ready and background suppression is on.</p><p></p><h2 id="ceac24a6-c07c-45a6-ac56-5ceb8bf0e3f2" data-toc-id="ceac24a6-c07c-45a6-ac56-5ceb8bf0e3f2" style="text-align: left; font-size: 24px; line-height: 1.2;">Make Sure You Buy the Right Version</h2><p>The Hollyland Lark comes with different receiver options and models that range from $35 (featured here and most travel friendly, to $119+)</p><p>Some kits include both USB-C and Lightning adapters, while others include only one.
